Bremworth is New Zealand’s most trusted carpet manufacturer with a commitment to quality and innovation. Following the Napier flooding, we have been working to bring our yarn plant machinery back online and we’re now looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our production team in our Yarn Plant in Napier as machinery Operators. 

Job Description: 

With Dying, twisting and the Continuous Finishing Line back up and running, we are working to shortly commission Blending, Carding, Spinning and Auto-winding to complete our Napier based Yarn Manufacturing. Depending if you have previous experience, you will initially be brought on as an Operator-in-Training reporting to our Production Shift Supervisor and provided with comprehensive training to operate our machinery.  

These positions are crucial in our efforts to restore and enhance our production capabilities in Napier, and we are interested in hearing from those with previous experience, along with those applicants new to our industry.  

We are seeking expressions of interest in all 3 shifts, with Day shift Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm, Afternoon shift Monday to Friday 3pm to 11pm and Night shift Sunday to Thursday 11pm to 7am.   

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist in bringing machinery back online. 
• Complete training to operate our machinery safely and efficiently. 
• Learn and adhere to SOPs across assigned departments. 
• Collaborate with the Production Shift Supervisor and team members. 
• Perform tasks and operate machinery as directed to meet production targets. 

Skills and personal qualities: 

• You will have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and adapt, 
• You will listen and communicate well,  
• You will work well with others and support the team, 
• You will have good time management and no attendance issues in prior jobs, 
• You will have a strong attention to detail and basic understanding of machinery operation (preferred but not required). 
• You will be committed to and safety and quality standards and helping us to continuously improve.
